i went to the market today and had a nectarine and a pint of blackberries for lunch. i love my city. i counted smiles on my way back to work: i gave out 20 and received 17. i win.

we had free massages at work today. just ten minutes, though. i could have given her the rest of my life. a nasty tease is what that was.

i'm not enjoying irvine welsh's acid house. everyone's killing themselves. i need to remember to read something silly before going to bed so that i don't have nightmares.

i put too much honey in my tea. so: i'm not going to say anything depressing tonight. somewhere between here and india there's a package full of love and cookies with my name on it.

anchor
our anchor's too big for our ship,
so we're sittin' here tryin' to think.
if we leave it behind we'll be lost.
if we haul it aboard, we will sink.
if we sit and keep talking about it,
it will soon be too late for our trip.
it sure can be rough on a sailor
when the anchor's too big for the ship.
